Completion reports, course status and progress are key metrics to target in solution. Stores use different reports and views then corporate users.
Analysis shows data users export data to use further in executive presentations and 3rd party dashboards. Minimal research was in place to pinpoint the best solution/design. There was big data available and collected in the system, but was not organized or structured to present as a report or flat table for export for customers.
Architecture and service teams were required to get data presentable and usable. In parallel pattern library and component data grids were not yet in place. The development team was in progress of implementing via a javascript library AG Grid.
Project required design team to reevalute, provide full detail specs for tables, behavior and testing with the new library. There were many "cooks in the kitchen" on this project and it was stuck to move forward with strong inertia till research and further task analysis was performed with users.
